Redefinition

Happy Hump Day to all my Angry Angels! We are midway through our sessions for this week and are enjoying what is in my neck of the woods a beautiful, if not slightly breezy day. I hope this Wednesday finds you well as we jump into the topic of the day.


This past Friday U.S. Attorney General Eric "Fast and Furious" Holder announced a long overdue revision to the Uniform Crime Code to redefine "rape." Vice President Joe "Tough Guy" Biden, author of the Violence Against Women Act, of course weighed in with his usual "me too" comments so we don't forget he's there. Interestingly enough the VAWA is up for reauthorization in 2012, last having been passed in 2005. Now at first glance the VAWA looks like a very noble undertaking, providing violence prevention programs, rape counseling centers, and of course legal aid. In 2000 upon reauthorization of the Act, the Office on Violence Against Women was established in the Department of Justice.


Looking a little deeper however we find some provisions that are a little disturbing, and much to my surprise, I find myself in agreement with the ACLU on some of these points. First off, the 1994 Act allows for mandatory HIV testing of people who are CHARGED with a crime, not CONVICTED of a crime. Second it allows for increased detention of people who are CHARGED with a crime. And among other things that the increased penalties were "rash."


With the establishment of the OVW and the continued renewal of VAWA, we as a nation have been sold on the horror of domestic violence and that women are perpetually victims by special interest groups. However the OVW's definition of domestic violence states that it can happen to anyone regardless of sex, age, race, or religion. So why is it the laws are not applied equally in regards to those mitigating factors? The increase in states incorporating "hate" crime statutes give rise to divisions based on those factors rather than providing equal protection, and prosecution, under the law.


Are Jerry Sandusky's crimes any less appalling because his victims were male? Or white? Or impoverished? No they are not.


Was the murder of Jessica Kalish, a gay rights activist, any less disturbing because it was committed by her wife? 222 stab wounds is pretty fucking disturbing.


Is the sexual abuse by 57 year old Jean Hardy of a 17 year old boy any less criminal because the perpetrator was a woman? Still, no.


So welcome to Eric Holder's new criminal world. Rape: The penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim.


Sounds better than the previous definition of: The crime, committed by a man, of forcing another person to have sexual intercourse with him, esp. by the threat or use of violence, right?


Well...not quite.


I'm sure Jean Hardy was quite consensual in getting penetrated by her victim. As was Pamela Rogers Turner. And Jennifer Lea Burton. And of course Debra LaFave, who could forget her.


Do you know what all these women have in common with that piece of shit Sandusky? They all used their position of power and influence to commit a FUCKING CRIME!!!


What does it matter if the perpetrators were women or men, white or black, gay or straight? What does it fucking matter?


My dear Angry Angels, if someone is RAPING your child, do you really give a damn about anything else except for the crime perpetrated on your child? If someone murders your spouse do you really fucking care what their sexual orientation or religious bent is? If someone is stabbing you 222 times does it matter to you whether or not it's your spouse, your child or a random stranger? I'm pretty sure all you are thinking is "Holy fuck I'm gonna die!!!"


So what is the point then of redefining crimes as hate crimes, or domestic crimes, or anything else? A crime is absolute in its violation of the rights of the victim. The punishments should be absolute as well. If we as a country and a society need to differentiate victim from victim and perpetrator from perpetrator based on sex, creed, color and whatnot, all we are doing is creating inequalities in a justice system that is supposed to protect us all as defined by our constitution. If we need to add reasons to punish perpetrators because of special interests, maybe the punishments aren't harsh enough to begin with.


Let your politicians know that you do NOT support special treatment under the law for any perpetrator of crimes. Do not accept that a crime against you is any less severe because the criminal piece of shit who perpetrated it is different from you. Let me know how Angry YOU are at the continued corruption of equal protection by our lawmakers and special interest groups.


Crime is crime, and angry is Angry!

Where lies truth?

Greetings Angry Angels and welcome to another Anger Management Session!

I hope our session yesterday regarding child abuse http://angryamericanman.blogspot.com/2012/01/hard-crime-hard-time.html got the anger flowing for the week and gave you some ideas on how to vent.

I mentioned yesterday that I was going to be talking today regarding Sean Hannity and what has been reported as a huge scam perpetrated on us by Freedom Concerts.

A little background first though.

Freedom Concerts are run through the Freedom Alliance http://www.freedomalliance.org/ as a way of promoting our thanks as Americans to the military personnel who freely give their lives in the defense of this country by raising money for the families and children of deceased service members.  Additionally they raise funds for scholarships for the children of service members and run several other programs such as Military Leadership Academy.  The concerts reportedly have raised about 10 million dollars in the last eight or so years to further these goals.  Sean Hannity, a popular conservative commentator, has been involved with the promotion of the concerts on his radio and tv shows for several years.

Now being somewhat conservative in my political leanings I sat back and applauded doing something for these kids rather than HOPING the government would.  We have all seen over the years how unwilling our government is willing to support those who defend it with their lives. Given that Freedom Alliance was founded in 1990 by Lt. Col. (ret) Oliver North, I was really happy to hear that the public was going to do what was sorely needed.  Back in my college days, I had the good fortune to volunteer for the American Defense Institute  which was founded by Eugene "Red" McDaniel.  I strongly suggest you visit their website http://www.ojc.org/adi/ and learn a bit more about their organization and "Red" himself.  What i did take away from that experience is that around the time of the Vietnam War, combat veterans basically became persona non grata in much of American life.  The reasons for such a climate shift from the days of parades through hometowns are well varied and all equally repugnant.

Recently this tide has turned and service men and women are more appreciated than they had been, though still not enough.

Which brings us to March 2010 and some very serious allegations by a Ms. Debbie Schlussel regarding the conduct of Sean Hannity and the promoters of the Freedom Concerts and Duane Ward.  Ironically I came across Ms. Schlussel's blog and articles regarding this while researching another scam by the name of Humane Society of the United States.  (You might remember those rants and there will be more coming!)  Apparently the amount of money that the Freedom Concerts actually disburses to the families of wounded or deceased soldiers and to disabled soldiers themselves is ABYSMALLY low, like on the order of 3% of funds raised.

Now my first reaction was a very loud "WHAT THE FUCK??"

Now I know very little of Ms. Schlussel save for what I have read the last few days, and I similarly know very little about Mr. Hannity save that he is a very successful commentator.  So given that, I am going to hold off on personal judgments for now regarding the case.  With any luck I can get some feedback from Debbie regarding any further investigations she may have done regarding those allegations.

NOW...comes the ANGER.  And it is coming big and loud my Angels.

Last week we got really angry about the blatant hypocrisy regarding animal welfare groups and their less than forthcoming stance regarding their true nature and how we should give money to adorably sad little critters on tv.  Now I'm hearing rumblings about how our nations soldiers are being paraded about as a tragic cause to separate us from our dollars!!  Are you fucking kidding me?  These fighting men and women are being used by charlatans and shit heels to sell their snake oil?  In MY AMERICA??

At the surface it would appear that a good portion of the 97% of proceeds raised by Freedom Concerts goes to perpetuating their own existence!  This is flat insane!!  And I certainly hope that there is an explanation from Freedom Alliance that can invalidate these allegations.

But aside from allegations and counter-allegations which I am still researching and reading, we find a much much LARGER problem here in America.

For much longer than we need, we have been inundated with news reports daily regarding "Occupy" this or that.  These protesters claiming to represent the 99% of Americans rail constantly against "Big Business."  Well I'm here to represent 100% of Angry Americans who are sick to death of these fuckers running non-profits in the most heinous of ways.  I'm going to call it "Big Charity."

"Big Charity" is way more dangerous than "Big Business" will ever be.  It doesn't make goods.  It depends on free labor while massively over-compensating it's executives.  And worst of all...it preys on the best in human nature, our desire to help out.

Have you ever been to Rolling Thunder?  Or visited a VA Hospital?  Do you know someone who has served and come home physically or psychologically wounded? Hell have you ever seen Saving Private Ryan or We Were Soldiers?  Take some time and think about what sacrifices have been made so you can sit there with YOUR family and enjoy the freedoms you have.

Now wouldn't you like to give back just a little bit?

"Big Charity" would LOVE you to give back.  They would love you to give back until you yourself are a charity case!!  Give till it hurts right?  It's amazing how fifty cents a day, and nineteen dollars a month and $65 for a concert ticket all add up.  But it's all tax deductible right?  Well to a certain degree yes, but are you giving money to get a break on taxes?  No!!

You are giving money to help causes YOU believe in and because you want to do something you can feel good about!!!  You are helping the community!!  If it were only that true.

I am certainly not a proponent of more government oversight regarding anything, but non-profits and charities certainly seem to be worthy of oversight given the pandemic of corruption therein.  Especially considering that these organization do not pay taxes!  Now there are plenty of voluntary reporting websites regarding charities such as Charity Navigator, GuideStar, or the Better Business Bureau's Wise Giving Alliance.  These are a good start but they are voluntary...meaning that they don't really hold anyone accountable.  I guess that's where you my Angry Angels are going to come into play.  If these fuckers are going to play fast and loose with our money and our emotions, it's time we take the game up a notch and that means no more money without accountability.

No more sad stories about tragedies that you marginally support. No more preying on our sensibilities.  No more free rides.  I want everyone reading this to do a little research about who you can support, locally.  No more "Big Charity" until we know EXACTLY where every fucking cent we send you is going!!  Support local animal rescues.  Support local human services like http://www.joyjunction.org/ in Albuquerque.  Be an informed consumer and be 100% ANGRY!!

Hard crime, hard time

Greetings Angry Angels!


I certainly hope life finds you well this wonderful Monday and that you had as amazing a weekend as I did!  Angry Woman and I spent the weekend working out, watching football (GO GIANTS) and generally enjoying each others company.  It's important after a week of venting anger to all of you that we take some time to recharge and enjoy the simpler things in life.


Later this week we are going to vent on rape, bullying and some professional commentators before our Friday group session, but today I'm going to go back a little bit to something I have already touched on in the blog http://angryamericanman.blogspot.com/2012/01/out-with-old.html.  Our week is going to start off calmly with some reflections on child abuse as a crime.


I recently read a blog regarding a gentleman by the name of Phillip Ray Greaves II.  The author of this blog who I will not name here is a little upset regarding the treatment of good ol Phil.  Phil, a resident of Colorado, was arrested on a Florida warrant of distributing obscene material.  Now you may ask, why is Sheriff Grady Judd of Polk County Florida bothering with some 47 year old wanna be author three quarters of the way across the country?  Might have something to do with the title of Phil's book: "The Pedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure: A Child-lovers code of conduct."


Yeah you read that right.


This guy wrote a book on rules of conduct for raping children. The blogger defends Phil by saying there is no proof that Greaves ever molested anyone and that he is only depicting the "psychology" of a child molester which many other authors have done.  If other authors have done the same type of depicting in their novels, why ISN"T Sheriff Judd going after any of them.


Well the answer you dumb-fuck is in the title of Phil's book!!  It's a code of conduct, in other words it's a FUCKING INSTRUCTION MANUAL!!  This isn't a scholarly work where teams of psychologists, psychiatrists and and other researchers armed with pointed pencils and pointier probes find out what makes these sick twisted sociopaths tick.  This is a book designed to help them "tick" more efficiently and likely without drawing the attention of Sheriff Judd or others like him.


Put aside for a moment the obvious big name cases like that piece of shit Jerry Sandusky, or Bernie Fine whose piece of shit status is still under investigation and let's go through some recent "highlights" that don't seem to make the national news.


William and Jamie Willis of Arizona, he of the huge stash of kiddie porn (and when I say kiddie porn I don't mean naked kids.  I mean kids fucking.  Little kids) and the Silence of the Lambs inspired torture room he was digging out in his backyard.  And his loving wife Jamie who tried to help him escape charges by cutting off his monitoring anklet and moving them both.


John Landrum Jr also of Arizona who was in the process of downloading child porn when the police showed up to serve him with a warrant "has no idea" how TWO external hard drives and his main drive on his computer were filled with graphic "child erotica."


Anthony Ganter of Colorado, molester of 14 boys he babysat for, arrested for downloading child porn and failing to register as a sex offender.


Mark William Woerner of Texas, a friendly neighborhood guy who would give thumbdrives filled with child porn to kids to take to elementary school and share with their friends.


Julie Ann Moore of Texas molested three 15 year old boys, fortunately non of whom were students in her elementary school class.


And my personal favorite, because it touches on another issue, Juan Galindo of New Mexico.  Juan only racked up one victim.  One victim who had two black eyes, a bite mark on her cheek, brain bleeds, a lacerated liver, and anal and vaginal tearing.  There was also evidence of partially healed broken ribs.  His victim was four weeks old.

It will be interesting to see what kind of justice New Mexico tries to serve up seeing as Juan is an illegal who had already been deported.  Oh and he was high on meth.  Kudos to the mom for picking out such an upstanding baby-sitter while you went out to the casino.  I'm sure Eric Holder and all the other illegal immigrant "rights" groups will have their say before this all plays out.  

At this point I am beyond the point of belief that ANYONE would defend these vicious fucks let alone defend them in the court of public opinion as this particular blogger did.  So let me ask you a question dear Angry Angels, and please feel free to leave your response as a comment or send me an email angriestmaninamerica@gmail.com, WHAT THE FUCK IS OUR LEGAL SYSTEM LETTING HAPPEN TO US?   

These are our children!! These are ANGRY BOYS and GIRLS who will never have the chance to grow into what they could have because of these fuckers.  And now some spineless apologist has the nerve to say Phil didn't do anything wrong?  Do we really need the child rapists to be more efficient??

Four days ago Governor Susana Martinez of New Mexico stated she was going to push a bill to remove the statute of limitations on any homicide case.  Certainly a bold move in a state where crime and punishment play second fiddle to  graft and cronyism at a higher per capita than any other state in the nation.  

As Governor Martinez is a former prosecutor I strongly applaud the effort, but I gotta say Susie...you aren't going far enough.  Not by a long shot.  The statute of limitations on child sex abuse cases is pathetically short in most jurisdictions, something we saw to our collective disgust in the Sandusky and Fine tragedies.  Further more I would like to see "accessory" charges flat removed.  If you are a confederate of a child abuser, or a murderer, or a rapist, you get the same punishment as the perpetrator of the crime.  If like Joe Paterno or Joy Epstein you were aware of a crime and did nothing to immediately prevent it you are thereby a confederate in the crime and are likewise guilty.  If you are an ILLEGAL and you commit these acts on U.S. soil then that should be considered a crime against the nation and an act of terrorism.

Now you might say "Angry Man!  That's just crazy!  There's no way the politicians and special interest groups will let that happen!"  And you are right my Angels!  The politicians won't let this happen.  Just ask Senator Kay Hutchinson a Texas Republican who helped scuttle a measure to federally standardize criminal punishments citing states sovereign rights.  Fuck you Kay, glad you are retiring.  

Angels it is time that we get really GODDAMNED loud and let our politicians know how ANGRY we are.  We listen all the time to prosecutors, and police, and politicians and their never ending excuses about why they can't do something. I'm sure their empty words will keep all of these broken and abused children warm at night, knowing that in a few short years their abusers will be back, coaching football, saying mass, or teaching their own children someday.

It's time we tell them they damn well better do something or they are going to be out on their asses looking for a new job.  And given the situation they have put us all in, they'll have a hell of a time finding a new one.  I'm one person who will not be giving them a positive reference.

Group Session #1

Greetings Angry Angels!

Welcome to our first week ending group session in which I will address some of the comments and emails I have received during our Anger Sessions throughout the week.  I appreciate the comments and emails that have been sent along and hope that this will continue as we explore the roots of our anger and how to fully address the issues we all face as Angry Americans!  I am always interested in hearing from you and hope that you will keep up the commenting and the emails.  If you would like to express an opinion not made public on the comment boards you can reach me directly through email angriestmaninamerica@gmail.com  And of course if you have something that makes you angry that I haven't covered, by all means let me know!  I will be happy to express your anger and outrage for you.

Of the subjects covered this week I got a few comments, and multiple emails from, the Humane Society of the United States was by far the winner.  I had not actually expected such a heavy response on that particular issue as I had for the child abuse posting: http://angryamericanman.blogspot.com/2012/01/out-with-old.html  The defining points between the two, I believe at least, are that while it comes to child abuse it seems to be pretty cut and dried in that everyone agrees it is "bad" and "unfortunate."  Animals on the other hand seem to elicit a much more emotional response.  On one side we have the animal rights fringe who think that animals should have every rights humans do including the right to vote with their own organizations casting the vote by proxy (I think they tried that back in Chicago in the '60's).  On the other side we have the animal welfare group who believe that we have a human responsibility to care for all life with care and compassion.

For the record I fall squarely on the latter side.  When I visit an animal shelter I look at a couple things, firstly is the conditions the animals are kept in.  Are the kennels or rooms they are kept in clean?  Do they have dog runs or yards to take the dogs out for walks and exercise?  Are the animals labelled with as much history and information that can be provided?  Is there enough space for the animals in each enclosure or are they all jammed in tight?  But mostly I look at the facility and the people there.

There have been times where I have been impressed by the facility and unimpressed by the people, and all variations and permutations regarding the two interacting.

But I had to ask myself...why does this facility impress me?  Well the last one I went to was absolutely HUMONGOUS!  I would wager it's at least five thousand square feet of just adoptions plus another separate building for admin and medical services.  All of this on a HUGE expanse of land.  Now you just KNOW my Angels that this was not government funded.  A little research later and the numbers were revealed through tax returns and some basic interviews.  It was a private facility and certainly more luxurious than all the city shelters I have been to.  The amount of donations to the shelter were staggering.  And while I don't have the specific amount in salaries for this particular shelter, there are a very good number of "executives" making six figure incomes while the "99%" who actually interacts with people make minimum wage or volunteer.  Now guess who is doing their job because they believe in what they are doing?

Several people have written and complained that I am ANGRY at HSUS because I mistakenly believed that they ran or supported shelters.  Well let me ask you my Angels a simple question: When you see these commercials on tv where the hell do YOU think the money is going?  Do you think the money is actually going to help the little fuzzies that look so sad and lonely on the ads?  Or do you think the money is going to perpetuate an organizations lobbyists and lawyers?  Since it's an election year maybe Romney can seal the deal by taking some kitties with him to the next debate, or Obama can get his jobs bill passed by bringing a three legged dog with a safety collar with him to Congress.

What I am ANGRY at is the slight of hand these groups use to separate my well intentioned Angels from their hard-earned money as proficiently as any street corner three card monte hustler.  Why do I have to go digging through mountains of paper and statistics to follow the trail of my dollar?

The answer is simple: it's all about the money.

There is a huge divide in the personal attitudes of the people who do the work.  There is the minimum wage/volunteer attitude and there is the six figure income attitude.

Now if you haven't already read the link to the spanieljournal.com article above please take a few minutes to do so.  I'll wait.

Now what I take away from this article and research done at http://www.humanewatch.org/ and http://www.animalscam.com/ is that THIS is the definition of "Big Business."

I am going to quote Loretta Baughan directly here because I do not think I could put this into any better words than she already has: "We can no longer blindly accept the pie-in-the-sky guesstimates groups such as the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS, People for the Ethical treatment of Animals (PETA) and other similar agenda-driven animal extremists put forth.  Follow the money. These are organizations whose very existence are dependant upon the amount of money they can raise from misguided animal lovers who think their donation is actually helping puppies, kittens or their local animal shelter. The reality is that these animal rights fanatics seek to impose their vegan lifestyle and utopian dream for humans have zero contact with animals."

As soon as I get shirts and bumper stickers made Ms. Baughan and Dr. Stuart are getting some.

We are being deceived my Angry Angels!!  Our hearts are in the right place I'll allow us that much, but we need to be more vigilant in discovering for ourselves the truth of these organizations and we need to hold these organizations accountable.  Don't be angry because the animals you love don't have a loving home of their own.  Be ANGRY because these fuckers are top level predators and are the CAUSE for your hard-earned money being wasted and thousands of ANGRY PUPPIES and ANGRY KITTIES are being euthanized by the organizations we believe are protecting them.

Support ONLY your local shelters, rescue groups and reputable breeders.  Support the people who are actually doing the work they say they are.  Support the groups whose actual agenda agrees with yours. Tell all the stars and media personalities who beg for your money in these EXPENSIVE ads that you are tired of the deceit and that you are ANGRY at them for helping perpetuate the fraud!!  Tell your local, state and federal representatives that you want accountability and transparency for all these "Non-Profit" organizations.

Dead is dead no matter who you are.

Greetings my Angry Angels!!

I hope this Thursday finds you well and we have a good session today! On a personal note I am having a great day already having resolved some relationship issues with my fiance, Angry Woman ( you can imagine the stress of a relationship between the Angriest Man in America and the Angriest Woman in America), getting in a fantastic shoulder workout, and of course reading the feedback on yesterdays blog: http://angryamericanman.blogspot.com/2012/01/breaking-your-heart-stealing-your-money.html

Today I would like you to remember two names for me: Ronen Katz and Yuliana Vasquez Reyes.  Got them?  Ok.  Now a quick Google search of these names will turn up one MAJOR thing they both have in common.  They are both dead.  Yuliana died a few days ago in Santa Fe New Mexico, Ronen Katz died in late 2010 on the West Side Highway in New York City. Yuliana was four years old, Ronen was 27.  Ronen was a hedge fund manager and a motorcyclist, we will never know what Yuliana could have been.  Now my friendly group of angerphiles you are probably asking yourselves "Why is he angry about this?"

Being both a motorcyclist and a father both of these touch at different parts of my heart.  It always sucks to lose a fellow biker regardless of the circumstance, and a dead child is just fucking tragic.  But I get really damned angry when I read about the circumstances surrounding the treatment of their killers.

Naisha Sutton, a 26 year old woman who should not have been driving a vehicle as she did not have a license and made an illegal turn killed Ronen.  Unfortunately he didn't die quickly, he died on the side of the road having been thrown from his motorcycle.  Naisha left the scene, left Ronen to die.  She turned herself in hours later.

Deborah Aaron, at least didn't flee the scene after killing Yuliana.  I'll speculate after seeing a picture of the accident that she wasn't able to.  Partially because of the damage to her Land Rover she smashed into the minivan Yuliana was riding in, and partially due to the fact that she was DRUNK!!  Of course the prominent surgeon has already set up her defense through her lawyer Dan Cron that she didn't CAUSE the crash so therefore can't be held RESPONSIBLE for Yuliana's death.  Now I know he didn't make major news but last year dear Dan got a guy by the name of Scott Owens off in the DWI deaths of FOUR, count 'em FOUR, teenagers in Santa Fe.  Dan apparently has found his niche.  I wonder how much he's gonna charge the surgeon to get a jury to believe that even though she was breaking the law and contributed to the death of a four year old that she is completely innocent like Scott Owens.

Now I'm not angry at Dan even though I personally think that getting these people off is morally reprehensible, he chose a profession and he happens to be really good at it.  I'm kinda angry at Deborah and Naisha for being incredibly irresponsible knowing that neither of them should be driving and their stupidity and/or arrogance cost two people their lives.

But who I am REALLY ANGRY at are the assholes we elect to office who enact laws and legislation that routinely devalue our lives and the prosecutors and judges who further negotiate down punishment for the end of an innocent life.

What are we worth now?  If you, dear Angry Angel, are killed what can your family expect in terms of justice.  Now imagine your child, or parent, or spouse lying dead in the street because someone who shouldn't have been driving was and ran them down with no more regard than if  they were a pink flamingo lawn ornament.  What do the legislators, the prosecutors and the judges say that life is worth?

Ronen's life was worth 60 days in jail and 3 years probation.  60 FUCKING DAYS!!!  Now having spent 10 days in the county lock up I will tell you jail is not pleasant, not by any stretch.  The food sucks, the accommodations suck, the entertainment sucks, and god help me the fashion sucks!!  Orange just washes me out...

The four lives Scott Owens took were worth nothing.

How much do you think Yuilana Vasquez Reyes is worth?  If you were to ask her family and friends and community I bet the answer would be a lot more than "nothing."  I bet her mother who is still in the hospital and two months pregnant thinks she was priceless.  Unfortunately we already have an inkling of where the judge and the prosecutor are going with this.  Dr. Deborah Aaron, who had her license suspended for five years, botched two surgeries in Arizona resulting in malpractice investigations by the state board, and was CAUGHT PRESCRIBING NARCOTICS FOR HER BOYFRIEND is back in Arizona, relaxing.  She is suspected in a fatal accident and she is in FUCKING ARIZONA???  Now correct me if I'm wrong but Arizona isn't a prison, is it?  Aside from Joe Arpaio's neck of the woods I mean.

I am now so ANGRY I'm having trouble typing.

I think it's high time that as Angry Americans that we demand of our justice system equal protection under the law.  Enough of the special interests. Enough of the buying your way out of justice because you are a rich doctor.  Enough of the lenient sentences because social status or skin color.  Enough of the dead being bargained away by corrupt judge's and incompetent, weak-willed prosecutors. Enough of the political cronyism and back scratching special interests that create inequalities.  Equality means that we are all protected EQUALLY under the fucking law!!!  Stop bargaining away our lives!!

White, black, gay, straight, female, male, adult or child.  Whoever you are.
Dead is dead, no matter who you are.
And no matter who killed you.

Breaking your heart, stealing your money

Greetings Angry Angels!!

I hope this lovely hump day finds you well and brings you just what the name implies!! Oh yeah!

I'm in a pretty good mood today and have just one little anger issue I would like to discuss with you.  Surprisingly enough it was caused by the holiday season.  I'm usually a pretty happy guy around the holidays.  Basically from the first week of October (which is when my birthday occurs) through New Years Day I find to be my favorite time of the year.

I think this time of year should be everybody's favorite.  It's chock full of holidays to celebrate our own decency.  Whatever your religious beliefs are I don't really care.  If we all would spend a little more time finding reasons to NOT be offended at every little fucking thing I think we could dramatically improve everyone's quality of life not just our own.  Having been raised Catholic, Christmas always had special pomp and circumstance to it.  Though not as specific to the foundations of the faith as Easter, I always felt it was something we could all participate in regardless of what direction your faiths pointed you in.  People were a little nicer, colors were a little brighter, candy a little sweeter during this time of year.  Maybe it was me growing up and changing perspectives or maybe it was the times changing around me...but what the FUCK is with all the CYNICISM surrounding the holidays now?

Are you fuckers really so joyless that you sue your neighbors for decorating their house and being excited about a time of year where everyone should be just a little bit kinder?  Are we really becoming so hateful of our fellow man that what we really look forward to the holidays just so we can find ways to be offended?  I try really hard to remember what is important to me at this time of year, family and friends, despite the growing cynicism of the populace.

Until I saw one commercial and did a little research.

Most of us remember Alyssa Milano from either Who's The Boss or Charmed.  A cute young girl who grew into a beautiful lady.  Fortunately for her she dodged the perils of childhood stardom.  Now she uses her celebrity status to raise money for causes she believes in.  At least I hope she believes in the causes she promotes and is not just shooting commercials for a paycheck.  The one commercial though that piqued my interest is the one for Humane Society of the United States.

The reason I was interested, and not because of her acting skills or pleading, was because for the last year my fiance Angry Woman has been working for our local Humane Society.  I've seen both sides of the equation from the dedicated volunteers donating time and the incredibly generous people donating money and goods to help take care of animals to the down side of people who are in my view a bit jaded and pretty over paid.  While certain aspects of the organization still rankle me, for the most part those on the front line are genuinely interested in providing homes and medical services for animals less fortunate than Angry Puppy, who is happily gnawing away on a ham bone while I write this.

So I did the ever popular Google search to find some info on HSUS.  Of course their very well designed website came up which features the usual "What We Do" stuff telling the public how your donations will be spent and how much your donations mean and so on and so forth.  Good boy.

Then something clicked in my head.  I paged back to google and saw some links to a scam.  Now I know PETA, People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals is probably the most vile and hypocritical organization in the country, regardless of what banner they fly under.  But the Humane Society of the United States?  Come on!!  Does this mean Alyssa misled us?

Did you know my faithful Angry Angels, with angry puppy's and kitty's of your own, know that of ALL the shelters in the country that HSUS runs NONE of them.  That's right.  A big fat fucking ZERO.  Apparently the only creatures that they are willing to financially support and protect are lawyers, litigators and propogandists.  Now the PETA lunatics are fairly well known.  They don't really give a damn about pets or animals in need as evidenced by their 93.8% euthanasia rate in 2010, and co-founder Ingrid Newkirk, well lets just say she has a special place in the afterlife that will keep her nice and toasty.

Now THIS is why I'm Angry...not just slightly angry...incredibly angry.

This HSUS/Alyssa commercial ran NON-STOP through the holiday season, no doubt to prey on our seasonal motivation to do something a little better than we normally would.  For only $19 bucks a month we can do so much good...  Yeah Alyssa?  FOR WHO?  Not for the poor little animals who are paraded across the screen, looking so sad and desperate and tugging at our heart strings that's for damn sure.  Are any of those animals even alive or did they get PETA'd?  How many people were fleeced this year by you and Wendie Malick and the rest of your crew of deceivers?  What amazes me is that these "stars" align themselves with groups that are neither Humane nor Ethical!!  I defy either one of you to visit Peta's pet freezer (and that's not a personal pet air conditioner) or to go on a consulting trip with HSUS where they CHARGE local humane shelters for this "service."

Now ask yourselves my Angels, would you rather put your money into Alyssa's and Wendie's pocket's or would you rather actually SAVE A FUCKING ANIMAL??  Stop donating your hard earned money to these charlatans.  Do a little research like I did.  Go local if you want to really help.  Donate a spay or neuter at your local shelter, foster a dog or a cat, volunteer an hour or two to go walk dogs.  There are so many better ways to help animals locally rather than throwing your money away on people who don't need it or use it to help animals. Most of all don't let these predators in charitable clothing steal your sense of the the holidays, or your desire to contribute to the good of your own community.

I'm really disappointed in you Alyssa.

Out with the old?

'Tis 2012 finally!  The year the Mayans say everything is gonna come to an end...if you believe that new age yak.  Personally I don't but never say never.  It is a little unfortunate that we are going to have to sit through a full year of political ads before Nibiru finds it's way here.  I think that's a little bit of cosmic cruel and unusual punishment and the celestial Inquisitor Torquemada should be taken to task for this.

While I'm putting together the schedule for this years Anger Management Rant Tour and outlining the topics for our little therapy sessions I stumbled upon something I thought was both interesting and a double standard in coverage of two sex crime cases by the media.  The more widely known of those is of course the Penn State/Second Mile bunch of child rapist headed by Jerry "Squeal like a Piggy" Sandusky.  The second case is actually a murder case, though it didn't have to be, involving Brandon McInerney and Larry King.

Let's start with the McInerney and King case as I feel it hasn't been properly addressed as it should have been in the media.  A quick refresher on the case can be found here: http://www.foxnews.com/topics/e.o.-green-school-shooting.htm#r_src=ramp.  I'm not going to rehash all the news reports, just point out a few facts the hate crimers like Ellen Degeneres conveniently skipped over.  Larry King wore make-up and high heels to school.  Teachers and administrators witnessed this behavior but did nothing about the sexual harassment this constitutes. In any other real world situation this would lead to hysteria as long as the victim was NOT a white male.  If Larry King had been the one being harassed about his sexuality every activist group around would be marching on that school.  But he wasn't.  He was the perpetrator.  So what happened?  Did the school intervene?  Were the parents brought in to address his behavior? Was the court or his case worker notified since he was a ward of the court living in a shelter for abused children?  Dawn and Gregory King, Larry's parents, claim that faculty members knew that he was uniquely vulnerable and tried to have them address their concerns regarding their child's welfare.  So what did the school do?

They did nothing.  Vice Principal Joy Epstein explained to concerned faculty of the escalation of his behavior that this type of behavior was "Constitutionally protected" and that they should focus on teaching tolerance to the students whose lessons were being disrupted.  Now I have to ask...when the FUCK did sexual harassment become protected speech?  When did it become ok to chase other students into bathrooms to harass them?  Why are teachers who are concerned for the safety of their students told to teach tolerance instead of discipline?

And where are we now?  Ms. Degeneres says that gays shouldn't be treated as second-class citizens.  Well I hate to tell you Ellen, he WASN"T being treated like a second class citizen.  In the name of political correctness he was allowed to continue behavior that led directly to his death.  Ellen, you and your fucking PC buddies CAUSED Larry King's death by turning a school, a place supposed to be safe for ALL not just your special interest, into a haven for behaviors both dangerous and ultimately fatal.  Schools are supposed to serve as a place where kids go to LEARN.  Not to pander to varying ethnic, religious or sexual identities.  The more time we spend doing such simply continues our educational destruction.

Now we turn to the Penn State crap.  I'm not even going to link to that because as far as I can tell if you watched the news once these last few months you are pretty well versed in what happened.  Grown man using his position to intimidate and rape little boys, y'know, the usual.  Now I'm not going to harp on Sandusky because we know what a piece of walking, talking shit this guy is.  I'm going to harp on Papa Joe Paterno.

I've read a few articles written by apologists saying the Paterno did the right thing and notified the authorities blah blah blah.  I have two words for you: "Fuck You."  Joe Paterno had every responsibility to follow up, and follow up, and follow up.  You can't tell me that someone who reported a child sexual abuse in his facility perpetrated by an underling just sits back and says "my job here is done" and pats himself on the back.

Firing Joe Pa was the LEAST Penn State could do given his reckless disregard for the safety of CHILDREN!  I certainly hope I get to see the video of them toppling his statue the same way we saw them do to Saddam's when his regime fell.  And while we are at it I certainly hope Dawn and Gregory King are successful in taking the California Board of Ed to task for the death of their son.

As Americans we put our children in the hands of teachers and coaches after trusting in our government to provide equal opportunities for our children in the safest environment possible.  Joe Paterno, Joy Epstein, Penn State regents, Board of Education of California, and anyone who would allow our children to be harassed, raped and murdered should be charged at least as accessories to the crimes and held as criminally liable as those who perpetrated the crimes.  One 15 year old kid dead, one 14 year old kid in jail till he's 39, no idea how many victims from Penn State and Joe and Joy and the rest of these irresponsible, reckless and the rest of the politically correct hand-wringing shit heads get a pass.

Why, you ask, my Angry Angels?  Because if we don't get angry, if we don't defend our children first and foremost from predators, who will? And what type of future do we guarantee for ourselves if we allow this to happen?
